We had the MOST incredible experience with ClimbKili and cannot recommend them enough! After researching many different trekking companies we decided on ClimbKili after they came recommended to us several times from a local hiking group. We decided to climb and then go on a safari afterwards, and both experiences were AWESOME! While in the planning stages it was awesome to talk with Tiffany who answered all of our (many) questions before-hand and helped us to plan our dream trip and made the process so easy! When we landed in Tanzania and arrived at the Summit Lodge, Sia was there to greet us and was so kind and welcoming. She answered all of our questions about the climb, made sure we were prepared, and even helped us arrange a last-minute tour on one of our free days! Thank you, Sia J
We did the Machame route and our entire team of 20+ ClimbKili staff was incredible! We had Veda as our head guide, and Matthew and Steve as assistant guides. They were the best and were always checking in to see how we were doing and encouraged us every step of the way! They are truly experts at what they do and it’s clear how much they love the mountain. The support from our guides was wonderful and our whole group of 6 summited on 2/14! I also need to thank Innocent who was so incredibly kind, thoughtful, and hard-working and made our days so special with tea and popcorn J I really can’t thank our team of WONDERFUL porters enough. They are true superheroes and our trek wouldn’t be possible without them.
Lastly I must thank Charles who is the best safari guide you could ever ask for! It’s clear he loves his job, and his 16+ years experience of leading safari tours really shows! He knows so much about every animal and plant and I would say it’s impossible to stump him with questions. I so appreciated Charles’ enthusiasm and it was so thoughtful of him to ask what we were interested in seeing, and he really made every effort possible for us to see the animals we wanted to! Between Serengeti National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park we were able to see the Big 5 in less than a day and a half! We will be back one day (hopefully soon) to do another safari with Charles!
