I have been home over a week now and have finally processed all that I have experienced and wanted to take the time to write you. I know you have heard the same sentiments over and over but it doesn’t hurt to repeat I am sure. Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro was truly a life changing event for me. I was not expecting to come home with all sorts of emotions that I am feeling right now which consists of jubilation in summiting to missing those mountain men terribly. What those mountain men did for me and my group is indescribable. I am at a loss for words. What they did for us to make it such an unforgettable experience is something I will never forget. Herment led such a professional and personal journey with awesome leadership and passion. Godlove, Seraphin and Anton were awesome. I loved their spirit and attitude. It was a privileged to be on their mountain. I know how important that mountain is to them. We all cried at the end for all that everyone did for us. The porters worked tirelessly and everyone was 100% important to me and I appreciated everything that they did. In one week I really grew a fondness for Herment and his team. Thank you for employing such beautiful people. Not once did I ever feel scared. I did everything they told me to do. I had 100% trust in them (which is hard for me to do!). The food was fabulous too! I just don’t know how they can cook that good on the mountain! Truly amazing! Well I could go on and on. Thank you again for ClimbKili’s commitment in making this trip an incredible experience. I will be forever grateful.
Sincerely, Yoko Shimoda
